6 Lessons On How Adeola Got the Idea for OneHealthNG and Turned it into a Fast Growing Company in Africa--- Smatkaria


Adeola Alli was inspired to start OneHealthNG because  she was not  able to easily access specialized medication for her child when she needed those products

OnehealthNG is an online pharmacy and digital-first healthcare platform that  enables anyone to smartphone to  easily order medication to their homes.

She launched  the business with  one retail  pharmacy store which she bootstrapped with savings and support from family

A year after the launch of the pilot store, the company added an online platform and began partnering with different health service providers across Nigeria 

OneHealth  has built a network of over 1000 Pharmacies plus laboratories and specialists across the 36 states of Nigeria to help fulfil or deliver orders placed on their platform. 

Adeola made it happen despite not having any experience in technology and her story illustrates critical points necessary for building successful company:

1. The best company has not been started: 

It's tempting to look at the gigantic achievements of great companies in various industries across the globe and feel that they have the best solution and are the best companies for every case scenario. But the story of Adeola has a clear answer. The best company hasn't been started and there are many problems that are still begging to be solved

2. See challenges as call to Create  needed solution:

 It could be your personal challenge, as was the case for Alli. It may be a challenge experienced by people close to you or folks in your community or country. It may be a pressing problem that your employer is having or challenges businesses around you are experiencing. Those challenges are staring you on the face and you're aware of them because providence knows you can do something about them. 

3. You don't need to have all it takes before you can begin to build a good solution or company:

 Adeola wasn't an entrepreneur. She's not a software engineer. But she started.

4. Starting is a bold statement that can lead to exciting adventure and results:

Alli has within a short time, built a digital-first healthcare company that has over a thousand strong network of pharmacies and laboratories. She did that through collaboration
